The third piece on my fourth album is one of those pieces that builds up as it goes along. It gets a little funky and is one of the most rhythm-orientated piece of music I've written, but as with most of my music, the melody is still the primary consideration.

Vincent Carr's SUMIC Swindon, UK

SUMIC (pronounced 'some-ick' - dialect from north east England meaning 'something'. It's also a fairly obvious anagram!).

SUMIC is my solo project since 2006, focusing almost exclusively on my own compositions - songs and instrumentals that hover between folk and progressive rock. I also have an interest in spontaneous composition and improvisation, and release this music in E.P. form regularly.
